An excellent vintage
The climatic conditions were excellent throughout the year. Warm and sunny, without being excessively so, with just the right amount of rain to prevent blockages. As part of our constant quest to improve quality, green harvesting was carried out in order to reduce production to 40 hectolitres per hectare.
The results spoke for themselves with perfectly ripe and healthy grapes.
This wine is a true reflection of the excellent year in which it was produced.
Deep, dark red in colour with a powerful, complex nose disclosing black fruits combined with spicy, mineral notes and a touch of mocha. The palate is oily, full-bodied and rich with nice chewy tannins and dense, lingering fruit.

“Ma meilleure note donné à ce cru en primeur. Vin coloré, moyennement aromatique au nez mais avec une belle réserve de fruit. La bouche est une des plus suaves, aériennes et fondantes jamais vue ici. Tout à fait incrachable ! Belle longueur où le cabernet franc joue un rôle majeur, fruité et fumé. De la tenue, aucun tanins âpres et surtout du plaisir. Bravo M. Genevey.”

Ensuite, quelques notes minérales (encre, truffe) complètement ce bouquet agrémenté d’une touche d’épices douces. Bouche: Les dégustateurs sont unanimes pour louer la fraîcheur, la densité et la franchise de ce cru riche en saveurs de baies noires acidulées (myrtille, cassis), enveloppées de tanins soyeux et soutenues par une acidité équilibrante.
