Yet another year of excellent climatic conditions.

Bud burst was early, which is often the sign of a great vintage. The summer was very dry and the vinestopped growing in July. The grapes remained small. The autumn weather was very good and allowed us to achieve phenolic and technical maturity very early on.
Whilst waiting for harvesting to begin, sugar levels increased and we reached the highest levels of alcohol since we started here in 1997. We have continued with the same philosophy and with the utmost respect for both the grapes and the wine. Maximum ripeness levels were reached which lent the wine its slightly Mediterranean character. Its deep hue has already begun to evolve.

The nose is powerful with scrubland aromas and a hint of eau-de-vie fruits. The palate is smooth, sophisticated and very persistent.

Jean-Marc Quarin

“Beau rouge sombre, bonne intensité, vraiment belle.

Andreas Larsson

“The nose is complex with spicy notes and wild fruit, some mineral notes and a touch of oak and mocha.Nicely rounded palate with finely grained tannins, dense fruit and long, spicy after taste. Abeit young.”

Frederic Koeppel

“Gorgeous, a burst of exotic fruit and spice, almost jammy but lots of dense chewy tannins.”

Vinum

Fine Wine

“With ample body, generous texture, and well-managed tannin, this is a wine of strong personality, well worth seeking out for its remarkable value, which is very much better than that of many of its neighbours.”

Jacques Dupont

Sommeliers International

“Robe: Grenat intense brillant. Nez: Très arômatique, généreux, épices. Elégant et harmonieux. Bouche: Attaque franche, fraîcheur, harmonie, vin friand, belle rétro-olfaction.
